Principles for being AI-Wise

Jul 7, 2025

Last year, everyone rushed to be AI-first.

New tools. New titles. New panic.

But in 2025, the opportunity isn’t about being first.

It’s in being AI-wise: knowing how to actually use it with intention.

Here’s how to integrate AI into your workflow without all the hype.

Principles for Being AI-Wise (Not AI-Hyped)

1. Clarity, Not Novelty

Don’t use AI because it’s shiny. Use it because it makes your thinking clearer.

The best AI use cases aren’t mind-blowing, they’re invisible. Speeding up wireframes. Rewriting copy. Designing the first draft.

2. Co-Creation, Not Delegation

AI isn’t your intern. It’s your collaborator.

Use it to explore ideas, not finalize outputs.

It’s better at diverging than converging. The value is in how you shape what it gives you.

3. Design the Workflow, Not the Output

The tool isn’t the value, the system is.

A simple model I use:
→ AI does the first 30%
→ I refine the next 50%
→ My team helps shape the final 20%

That’s how you scale good thinking, not just production.

We don’t need more AI hype.

We need more thoughtful builders.

Are you collaborating with AI or just reacting to it?
